Meet Miriam

ACTOR • WRITER • DIRECTOR

Upon graduating from Palm Beach Community College in 1993 with a degree in nursing, Miriam launched her nursing career at the Operating Room and quickly moved into a leadership position. She also committed her time after work to volunteering in an after school program dedicated to providing help with homework to children of parents who worked. Through both her professional roles as well as her community volunteerism, Miriam was able to demonstrate her dedication and passion for helping others.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Miriam took the plunge and followed her dreams by moving to Atlanta, Georgia in order to pursue her degree in Creative Writing at Georgia State University. However, while taking her first acting class there, it became very clear that this was what she was meant to do. She immediately changed majors and ended up graduating with a degree in Film & Video in 2009. After obtaining her degree, Miriam began training at Whole World Improv Theater which helped launch her career; leading to roles in the independent comedy ‘Pas Honteux’ and recently playing an Emergency Room doctor in the Lifetime movie 'Dating Hell' directed by Aleshia Cowser Jackson.

Miriam is an individual who seemingly never stops! On top of her training at the Jayson Smith Acting Studio, working as a nurse, and auditioning for projects, Miriam also holds the position of president within 'Eye Kandi', a motorcycle club which is composed entirely of women. Her biker persona caught the attention of the fast-food chain Zaxby's which led to her being featured in one of their commercials.

Juggling all she does has been difficult work, but each day brings new opportunities and experiences that allow Miriam to refine her craft and explore her creativity.
